Instructions
This high quality handmade drying rack can be drilled anywhere for what the situation calls for, some choose to add metal mounting brackets to the back. The rack is unfinished so there is no oil or coating as they are manufactured with care and attention. The dowels are smoothed during manufacturing and during assembly, if any rough spots are found, sandpaper is used to ensure a smooth finish. While we have not heard of this happening from customers, if you ever notice any rough spots, you can touch them up with sandpaper.
We have not had any issues with the unfinished nature of our drying racks and we have customers that have used their unfinished drying rack for decades, but we are aware of issues happening with cheaper quality drying racks. The wood will get a little moisture from the wet laundry, but it dries quickly in between uses. While you could apply a natural finish to the dowels, however, we would not recommend doing so as some customers have done it which caused the finish to stain the laundry.
